The
Quartet's repertoire has grown to over a ten hours of music
transcending all styles and periods from Renaissance to the present
times. Bach, Vivaldi, de Falla, Ravel and others are the
musical
foundations on which the PGQ has built its distinctive sound.
Transcriptions are characterized by the artist' deep appreciation of
the guitar and the music itself. But what's unique about the Quartet's
repertoire is that nearly half of it is made up of music which living
composers have written specifically for the group (J.W. Duarte, J.
Morel, S. Rak, J. Cardoso, J. Matys, ...). In addition, the Quartet has
performed Joaquín's Rodrigo's "Concierto Andaluz" with
orchestra.
